What happens if I already have coverage in place?

If you currently have a Professional Indemnity policy, please provide the date your insurance is due in your Membership renewal application. When you receive your insurance policy expiry notice, you can join the IICT Insurance Program via the IICT Website Member Login. Your insurance and membership will then be combined in one simple payment.

Medical Malpractice Professional Indemnity Insurance

Regular interaction with people is a guaranteed part of any Complementary Therapists practice and is a daily occurrence. You may face situations where your clients look to hold you responsible for injuries they deem to have received as a result of your professional services.

Medical Malpractice Professional Indemnity Insurance (PI) protects you against liability or allegations of liability for financial injury or damages that have resulted from a negligent act, error, omission, or malpractice that has arisen out of your professional capacity as a Complementary Therapist. PI protects Complementary Therapists by ensuring that your legal defence is coordinated and paid for if a claim is made against you. Your PI also covers the cost of patient compensation or damages.


Your Medical Malpractice Professional Indemnity Insurance also provides you with the following additional coverage:

Intellectual Property

We’ve all had that moment; where you think of a brilliant business idea only to find someone has already beaten you to it. What happens if you implement a new idea in your business, only to find out that you have unintentionally copied someone else’s idea? Your IICT Insurance policy protects you against any alleged or actual (and unintentional) infringement of a copyright, trademark, registered design or patent.

Criminal Proceedings Costs

Coverage provides reimbursement to an insured member for defence costs if any criminal proceedings are brought against them in relation to the performance of their professional services rendered in Australia; provided the member is acquitted or found ‘not guilty’ of the criminal charge.

Public Relations Expenses

Reputation can mean the success or failure of a business. As an IICT Member participating in the Insurance Program, you have access to cover for costs involved with engaging a Public Relations Consultant, to work with you to maintain your public image where an allegation is made regarding the quality of your professional services which may lead to a claim.

Advance Claim Protection

Coverage is provided for an insured member to engage preliminary legal services and advice prior to an incident being formally accepted as a claim under the policy.


Are you a practice owner?

A Pilates Instructor employed by you runs a Reformer Pilates class. A participant in the class claims that inadequate supervision of class participants led to them sustaining a back injury.

The patient takes action out against the employee who ran the class, you (the Individual) as the owner of the studio who provided the treatment, and your Pilates Studio (business entity) for not having adequate processes in place to ensure adequate supervision.

Your IICT Insurance Policy responds to your legal costs to defend your liability, and if entity coverage is taken, your IICT policy will also respond to cover the legal defence costs in respect of your business entity.

It is important to note that you IICT policy will not respond to any costs associated with the action against professional employees, they will need to maintain individual Professional Indemnity coverage.

Medical Malpractice Public Liability Insurance

Medical Malpractice Public Liability Insurance covers you for actual or alleged negligence caused by you or your employees which results in bodily injury or property damage to a third party. Even if you are found to be not guilty in a court proceeding, your policy will still respond to cover your legal defence costs.

Products Liability Insurance covers you for actual or alleged bodily injury or property damage to a third party arising through use of a product sold, supplied, or manufactured by you. Even if you are found to be not guilty in a court proceeding, your policy will still respond to cover your legal defence costs.

Medical Malpractice Public Liability Claim Example:

A Pilates Instructor runs small group Pilates classes out of their studio. In an earlier class a client spilled some water on the floor from their water bottle and did not bring it to the Instructor’s attention. As the next group prepare for the class in the room, an elderly participant slips on the wet floor, causing the patient to fracture their hip. Action is taken by the patient against the Pilates instructor and it is found through investigation that the Pilates Instructor was negligent as they should have checked the room for any hazards prior to the next class starting. They are found liable for the damages and their Medical Malpractice Public Liability policy responds to pay.

Products Liability Claim Example:

A Complementary Therapist sells essential oils to their clients. The essential oils are made by the Complementary Therapist. Due to the sale of undiluted essential oils, they receive a complaint from a patient about burns to their arms and neck. Action is taken out against the Complementary Therapist for the supply of a dangerous product, and their Products Liability policy responds to defend them and pay any settlement.

Clinic Package Insurance

Property Damage Covers buildings, business property, stock and machinery for fire, storm damage and other perils.
Theft Covers theft of business property and stock in trade.
Glass Covers all glass types for the replacement value and signage.

Equipment Breakdown Machinery Breakdown covers the mechanical breakdown of machinery (i.e. air conditioning units, refrigeration units, etc.). Business Interruption Cover for loss of income in the event your business operations are hindered following an insured Material Damage peril. Also includes benefits for Additional Increased Costs of Working which provides cover for additional costs to maintain normal operation of your business (including leasing alternative premises, advertising costs, and equipment leasing and additional staff).

Cyber Security & Privacy Liability Coverage

If you’ve got data, you’ve got risk. Cyber security is one of the fastest growing areas of risk, and the Complementary Therapy Health sector is not immune. Cyber Liability coverage responds to various losses resulting from but not limited to, stolen credentials, malware, phishing and social engineering and insider threats.

The insurance cover responds to:

  • Third party claims against you;
  • Business interruption and costs to restore your data;

Cyber Security & Privacy Liability Claim Example

A Pilates Instructor Studio’s network was infected with a virus that was received via a phishing email which was opened by an employee by mistake; this allowed the hacker to gain access to the clinic’s website.

The Studio’s Cyber Liability Insurance responds to cover forensic IT costs to determine the extent of the breach and loss to data, Forensic accounting to determine any interruption to operations and loss of income, costs to remove the virus and to reinstate the insured’s data and systems. The total expenses incurred were $17,000.

BMS has partnered with Accident and Health Insurance who provide access to medical advisory firm Best Doctors at no additional cost. Best Doctors provide policyholders with access to a global network of 50,000 medical specialists who can work closely with individuals to provide diagnosis, second opinions and treatment options to assist a policyholder facing any injury, illness or medical condition (whether covered by this insurance policy or not).

This service is entirely confidential, is not reported to insurers and extends to the policyholder’s children, partner, parents and in-laws.

This service can assist with many areas of medical advice, including:

  • If you receive a diagnosis but want to be 100% sure it is correct
  • If you need advice on what treatment plan to follow
  • If you are looking for the best local specialist for an in-person consultation
  • If you have a medical question but want to ask a professional, not surf the web

Management Liability is a package policy which covers actions and conduct of the insured company and its Directors and Officers for day to day operating of the business.

Management Liability covers multiple risk exposures through its 6 main coverage sections, including:

Coverage Section Description
Directors & Officers Liability Cover for wrongful or negligent acts by Directors and Officers of the company in execution of their duties.
Corporate (Entity) Liability Cover to the business entity for wrongful or negligent acts committed in the operation of the business
Employment Practices Liability Cover to Directors, Officers and Managers of the insured company for claims made against them by employees.
Statutory Liability Protection against statutory breaches, most commonly Work Health & Safety prosecutions, fines and penalties.
Crime Covers the insured company for internal or external misappropriation or fraud of money or property through fraudulent means.

In the Event of a Claim

Prompt claims’ reporting is critical to the process of bringing claims to a successful resolution.

Members aware of any actual or potential claim must report it immediately. If a member receives a formal notice or statement of claim, the notice must be reported in writing to the insurer immediately. Please refrain from making any written or oral statements to the claimant, unless the insurer advises to do so. Please do not offer to compensate a client as such action could interfere legally with the management of a claim.

Should a member seek independent legal services for a potential claim, any fees associated with such services may not be recuperated under the policy limits unless notice has been provided to the insurer before such legal representation commences.

In the event of a potential claim or if a member is formally served with a statement of claim, members should follow the guidelines below:


Members Should

  • Immediately report any potential claim to BMS Group via phone or email
  • Formally document the incident, including details of those involved
  • Submit any formal statement of claim to BMS Group
  • Report any regulatory investigations or notice of complaint immediately

Members Should Not

  • Speak with any third parties about the claim
  • Assume any legal fees before reporting a claim
  • Offer compensation to independently settle a claim
  • Amend or change any previous medical records once a statement of claim has been received

Legal Services

We use a Leading Allied Health law firm offering summary pro bono legal advice to all IICT members. To ensure members are provided with superior legal defence in the event of a claim or complaint.

Members can take advantage of this complimentary service for practice related questions involving issues such as:

  • Privacy and confidentiality;
  • Conflicts of interest;
  • How to respond to requests for information from third parties;
  • Inquires from your regulatory body;
  • How to respond to a subpoena;
  • Professional misconduct;
  • Ethical obligations; and
  • Professional obligations.

If you have received a formal complaint or been served with a legal claim, please contact BMS Group directly. Depending on your situation, BMS will arrange for a senior Lawyer to contact you.

The lawyer who you speak with will provide you with free, confidential legal advice in order to try and avoid or reduce the probability of a claim or complaint. The lawyer may consider it appropriate to review the issues and jurisprudence, and then call you back. The advice given will rely upon the accuracy and completeness of the information you provide.

If the event has triggered a claim the leading Allied Health law firm will be appointed as legal counsel to work on your behalf. In the event you do not wish to use the recommended law firm or if the case has a conflict you will be able to retain alternative legal counsel.

An important element of the insurance program is to promote the best practice and risk management resources to reduce Indemnity risk to you as a Complementary Therapy Practitioner.

In partnership with legal and risk management service providers, we are building a database of specific allied health and medico-legal practice risk resources, tools, advice, and publications to better advance safer client care and Indemnity protection.

Although resources will be available to members only, select example publications will be periodically posted in this section.

What is Medical Malpractice Professional Indemnity Insurance?

Professional Indemnity Insurance protects you against allegations or claims of financial loss due to injury or damages that have resulted from a negligent act, error, omission, malpractice or breach of duty that has arisen out of your professional capacity as a Complementary Therapist.

The IICT PI policy will also respond to protect your reputation should a claim occur.

What is Public Liability Insurance?

Public Liability Insurance provides cover for bodily injury or property damage to a third party that occurs while conducting your professional activities.

This is primarily a legal defence costs cover but also covers settlement costs in the event that you are found to be liable / negligent in causing the injury or property damage.

What is Products Liability?

Products Liability Insurance covers you for actual or alleged bodily injury or property damage to a third party arising through use of a product sold, supplied, or manufactured by you.

As with Public Liability, this cover will also respond to legal defence costs even if you are found to be not liable for the injury / damage.

Can I opt out if I don’t want the insurance in my membership?

You can opt out of the IICT program during the application or renewal process. While it’s not compulsory to take up the IICT’s Medical Malpractice Professional Indemnity and Public Liability Policy, all IICT members must have adequate PI Insurance to be a member of IICT.

Am I covered if I provide services to family members?

No. There is no cover for when you are providing your services to family members.

What happens if I have a leave of absence during the year?

The IICT PI Policy has run-off cover, so you remain covered in the event you have a leave of absence (such as maternity leave or due to an illness). To activate this, you must apply for run-off cover by contacting BMS on 1800 290 981 (Aus) / 0800 999 267 (NZ) or via email at iict@bmsgroup.com

Does this policy cover me when I retire?

Yes. The IICT Insurance Policy provides run-off cover, which means you are covered when you retire. To activate this, you must apply for run-off cover by contacting BMS on 1800 290 981 (Aus) / 0800 999 267 (NZ) or via email at iict@bmsgroup.com.

Will this policy cover my past activities?

Yes. The IICT PI Insurance Policy provides unlimited retroactive cover provided that there are no known and unreported circumstances that may lead to a claim.

Should I consider this cover if I work in the Public Health Sector?

Yes. As a Public Health Sector worker, without your own insurance policy you are relying on your employer’s Insurance, which may be geared more towards protecting your employer. Further, Public Hospitals or Health Centres typically carry
policy excesses upwards of $250,000; which means that, in the event of a claim against you, they may decline to cover you.

Your employer’s policy may not cover you for:

  • Your services with previous employers.
  • Your private practice work.
  • Your past services rendered.
  • Your services provided as a contractor, sub-contractor or consultant.
  • If you are sued by your employer.
  • Legal support for regulatory inquiries, disciplinary hearings and coronial enquiries.

IICT members who participate in the Insurance Program also have peace of mind that they have an individual $20,000,000 limit covering their interests as well as access to 30 minutes of free legal assistance with a senior lawyer for each
potentially claimable issue that arises.

Having your own individual policy ensures you are covered if you want to work while transitioning from one employer to the next.

What Legal Support is available to me as a member insured through the International Institute for Complementary Therapists?

All IICT members participating in the insurance program have access to free legal council with a leading Allied Health law firm offering Summary pro bono legal advice. To ensure all eligible members are provided with superior legal

Clinic Package
Clinic Package Insurance is designed for Allied Health & Medical businesses with assets not exceeding $5 million. It covers various general elements of business risk relating to property and interruption to operations; it is comprised of 2
main sections of cover being Material Damage and Business Interruption.

Cyber Security & Privacy Liability
Cyber Liability coverage responds to various losses resulting from but not limited to, stolen credentials, malware, phishing and social engineering and insider threats. Coverage is provided for loss suffered by your business, claims made by
third parties affected and for your business interruption in the event of a breach.

Personal Accident
Personal Accident insurance is designed for companies (group cover) or individuals to provide coverage in the event of death or permanent/temporary disability due to injury or sickness.

There are a range of benefits that the coverage extends to provide, including but not limited to rehabilitation, corrective surgery, medical expenses and child support. Benefits are paid by either lump sum or weekly throughout the benefit
period for prolonged sickness or injury.

This coverage is particularly important where:

  • You are a sole trader or business owner and not covered by a workers compensation policy,
  • You are a contractor, sub-contractor or locum and not covered by a workers compensation policy,
  • You work in a high-risk industry or are off site often, or
  • You do not have the financial means to support yourself in the event of a serious injury or prolonged illness.

Journey Cover
Journey Insurance provides cover in the event that you are injured on your commute to and from work. This is a typical exclusion to many workers compensation policies, which would leave majority of employees uninsured and left to mange
expenses should they be unable to work for an extended period of time.

Corporate Travel Insurance
Corporate Travel Insurance is an annual policy covering all staff and directors of a company for business travel. Cover will also respond to leisure trips taken by directors and business owners as well as associated leisure travel for
employees of the business.

Cover also extends to any employees spouse and dependent children.

How do I add my business name onto the Policy and what coverage will be provided?

What happens if I already have coverage in place?

If you currently have a Professional Indemnity policy, please provide the date your insurance is due in your Membership renewal application. When you receive your insurance policy expiry notice, you can join the IICT Insurance Program via the IICT Website Member Login. Your insurance and membership will then be combined in one simple payment.

Medical Malpractice Professional Indemnity Insurance

Regular interaction with people is a guaranteed part of any Complementary Therapists practice and is a daily occurrence. You may face situations where your clients look to hold you responsible for injuries they deem to have received as a result of your professional services.

Medical Malpractice Professional Indemnity Insurance (PI) protects you against liability or allegations of liability for financial injury or damages that have resulted from a negligent act, error, omission, or malpractice that has arisen out of your professional capacity as a Complementary Therapist. PI protects Complementary Therapists by ensuring that your legal defence is coordinated and paid for if a claim is made against you. Your PI also covers the cost of patient compensation or damages.


Your Medical Malpractice Professional Indemnity Insurance also provides you with the following additional coverage:

Intellectual Property

We’ve all had that moment; where you think of a brilliant business idea only to find someone has already beaten you to it. What happens if you implement a new idea in your business, only to find out that you have unintentionally copied someone else’s idea? Your IICT Insurance policy protects you against any alleged or actual (and unintentional) infringement of a copyright, trademark, registered design or patent.

Criminal Proceedings Costs

Coverage provides reimbursement to an insured member for defence costs if any criminal proceedings are brought against them in relation to the performance of their professional services rendered in Australia; provided the member is acquitted or found ‘not guilty’ of the criminal charge.

Public Relations Expenses

Reputation can mean the success or failure of a business. As an IICT Member participating in the Insurance Program, you have access to cover for costs involved with engaging a Public Relations Consultant, to work with you to maintain your public image where an allegation is made regarding the quality of your professional services which may lead to a claim.

Advance Claim Protection

Coverage is provided for an insured member to engage preliminary legal services and advice prior to an incident being formally accepted as a claim under the policy.


Are you a practice owner?

A Pilates Instructor employed by you runs a Reformer Pilates class. A participant in the class claims that inadequate supervision of class participants led to them sustaining a back injury.

The patient takes action out against the employee who ran the class, you (the Individual) as the owner of the studio who provided the treatment, and your Pilates Studio (business entity) for not having adequate processes in place to ensure adequate supervision.

Your IICT Insurance Policy responds to your legal costs to defend your liability, and if entity coverage is taken, your IICT policy will also respond to cover the legal defence costs in respect of your business entity.

It is important to note that you IICT policy will not respond to any costs associated with the action against professional employees, they will need to maintain individual Professional Indemnity coverage.

Medical Malpractice Public Liability

Medical Malpractice Public Liability Insurance

Medical Malpractice Public Liability Insurance covers you for actual or alleged negligence caused by you or your employees which results in bodily injury or property damage to a third party. Even if you are found to be not guilty in a court proceeding, your policy will still respond to cover your legal defence costs.

Products Liability Insurance covers you for actual or alleged bodily injury or property damage to a third party arising through use of a product sold, supplied, or manufactured by you. Even if you are found to be not guilty in a court proceeding, your policy will still respond to cover your legal defence costs.

Medical Malpractice Public Liability Claim Example:

A Pilates Instructor runs small group Pilates classes out of their studio. In an earlier class a client spilled some water on the floor from their water bottle and did not bring it to the Instructor’s attention. As the next group prepare for the class in the room, an elderly participant slips on the wet floor, causing the patient to fracture their hip. Action is taken by the patient against the Pilates instructor and it is found through investigation that the Pilates Instructor was negligent as they should have checked the room for any hazards prior to the next class starting. They are found liable for the damages and their Medical Malpractice Public Liability policy responds to pay.

Products Liability Claim Example:

A Complementary Therapist sells essential oils to their clients. The essential oils are made by the Complementary Therapist. Due to the sale of undiluted essential oils, they receive a complaint from a patient about burns to their arms and neck. Action is taken out against the Complementary Therapist for the supply of a dangerous product, and their Products Liability policy responds to defend them and pay any settlement.

Cyber Liability coverage responds to various losses resulting from but not limited to, stolen credentials, malware, phishing and social engineering and insider threats.

The insurance cover responds to:

Cyber Security & Privacy Liability Claim Example

A Pilates Instructor Studio’s network was infected with a virus that was received via a phishing email which was opened by an employee by mistake; this allowed the hacker to gain access to the clinic’s website.

The Studio’s Cyber Liability Insurance responds to cover forensic IT costs to determine the extent of the breach and loss to data, Forensic accounting to determine any interruption to operations and loss of income, costs to remove the virus and to reinstate the insured’s data and systems. The total expenses incurred were $17,000.

This service is entirely confidential, is not reported to insurers and extends to the policyholder’s children, partner, parents and in-laws.

In the Event of a Claim

In the Event of a Claim

Prompt claims’ reporting is critical to the process of bringing claims to a successful resolution.

Members aware of any actual or potential claim must report it immediately. If a member receives a formal notice or statement of claim, the notice must be reported in writing to the insurer immediately. Please refrain from making any written or oral statements to the claimant, unless the insurer advises to do so. Please do not offer to compensate a client as such action could interfere legally with the management of a claim.

Should a member seek independent legal services for a potential claim, any fees associated with such services may not be recuperated under the policy limits unless notice has been provided to the insurer before such legal representation commences.

In the event of a potential claim or if a member is formally served with a statement of claim, members should follow the guidelines below:


Members Should

  • Immediately report any potential claim to BMS Group via phone or email
  • Formally document the incident, including details of those involved
  • Submit any formal statement of claim to BMS Group
  • Report any regulatory investigations or notice of complaint immediately

Members Should Not

  • Speak with any third parties about the claim
  • Assume any legal fees before reporting a claim
  • Offer compensation to independently settle a claim
  • Amend or change any previous medical records once a statement of claim has been received

We use a Leading Allied Health law firm offering summary pro bono legal advice to all IICT members. To ensure members are provided with superior legal defence in the event of a claim or complaint.

Members can take advantage of this complimentary service for practice related questions involving issues such as:

  • Privacy and confidentiality;
  • Conflicts of interest;
  • How to respond to requests for information from third parties;
  • Inquires from your regulatory body;
  • How to respond to a subpoena;
  • Professional misconduct;
  • Ethical obligations; and
  • Professional obligations.

If you have received a formal complaint or been served with a legal claim, please contact BMS Group directly. Depending on your situation, BMS will arrange for a senior Lawyer to contact you.

The lawyer who you speak with will provide you with free, confidential legal advice in order to try and avoid or reduce the probability of a claim or complaint. The lawyer may consider it appropriate to review the issues and jurisprudence, and then call you back. The advice given will rely upon the accuracy and completeness of the information you provide.

If the event has triggered a claim the leading Allied Health law firm will be appointed as legal counsel to work on your behalf. In the event you do not wish to use the recommended law firm or if the case has a conflict you will be able to retain alternative legal counsel.

Professional Indemnity Insurance protects you against allegations or claims of financial loss due to injury or damages that have resulted from a negligent act, error, omission, malpractice or breach of duty that has arisen out of your professional capacity as a Complementary Therapist.

The IICT PI policy will also respond to protect your reputation should a claim occur.

What is Public Liability Insurance?

Public Liability Insurance provides cover for bodily injury or property damage to a third party that occurs while conducting your professional activities.

This is primarily a legal defence costs cover but also covers settlement costs in the event that you are found to be liable / negligent in causing the injury or property damage.

What is Products Liability?

Products Liability Insurance covers you for actual or alleged bodily injury or property damage to a third party arising through use of a product sold, supplied, or manufactured by you.

As with Public Liability, this cover will also respond to legal defence costs even if you are found to be not liable for the injury / damage.

Can I opt out if I don’t want the insurance in my membership?

You can opt out of the IICT program during the application or renewal process. While it’s not compulsory to take up the IICT’s Medical Malpractice Professional Indemnity and Public Liability Policy, all IICT members must have adequate PI Insurance to be a member of IICT.

Am I covered if I provide services to family members?

No. There is no cover for when you are providing your services to family members.

What happens if I have a leave of absence during the year?

The IICT PI Policy has run-off cover, so you remain covered in the event you have a leave of absence (such as maternity leave or due to an illness). To activate this, you must apply for run-off cover by contacting BMS on 1800 290 981 (Aus) / 0800 999 267 (NZ) or via email at iict@bmsgroup.com

Does this policy cover me when I retire?

Yes. The IICT Insurance Policy provides run-off cover, which means you are covered when you retire. To activate this, you must apply for run-off cover by contacting BMS on 1800 290 981 (Aus) / 0800 999 267 (NZ) or via email at iict@bmsgroup.com.

Will this policy cover my past activities?

Yes. The IICT PI Insurance Policy provides unlimited retroactive cover provided that there are no known and unreported circumstances that may lead to a claim.

Should I consider this cover if I work in the Public Health Sector?

Yes. As a Public Health Sector worker, without your own insurance policy you are relying on your employer’s Insurance, which may be geared more towards protecting your employer. Further, Public Hospitals or Health Centres typically carry
policy excesses upwards of $250,000; which means that, in the event of a claim against you, they may decline to cover you.

Your employer’s policy may not cover you for:

  • Your services with previous employers.
  • Your private practice work.
  • Your past services rendered.
  • Your services provided as a contractor, sub-contractor or consultant.
  • If you are sued by your employer.
  • Legal support for regulatory inquiries, disciplinary hearings and coronial enquiries.

IICT members who participate in the Insurance Program also have peace of mind that they have an individual $20,000,000 limit covering their interests as well as access to 30 minutes of free legal assistance with a senior lawyer for each
potentially claimable issue that arises.

Having your own individual policy ensures you are covered if you want to work while transitioning from one employer to the next.

What Legal Support is available to me as a member insured through the International Institute for Complementary Therapists?

All IICT members participating in the insurance program have access to free legal council with a leading Allied Health law firm offering Summary pro bono legal advice. To ensure all eligible members are provided with superior legal

Clinic Package
Clinic Package Insurance is designed for Allied Health & Medical businesses with assets not exceeding $5 million. It covers various general elements of business risk relating to property and interruption to operations; it is comprised of 2
main sections of cover being Material Damage and Business Interruption.

Cyber Security & Privacy Liability
Cyber Liability coverage responds to various losses resulting from but not limited to, stolen credentials, malware, phishing and social engineering and insider threats. Coverage is provided for loss suffered by your business, claims made by
third parties affected and for your business interruption in the event of a breach.

Personal Accident
Personal Accident insurance is designed for companies (group cover) or individuals to provide coverage in the event of death or permanent/temporary disability due to injury or sickness.

There are a range of benefits that the coverage extends to provide, including but not limited to rehabilitation, corrective surgery, medical expenses and child support. Benefits are paid by either lump sum or weekly throughout the benefit
period for prolonged sickness or injury.

This coverage is particularly important where:

  • You are a sole trader or business owner and not covered by a workers compensation policy,
  • You are a contractor, sub-contractor or locum and not covered by a workers compensation policy,
  • You work in a high-risk industry or are off site often, or
  • You do not have the financial means to support yourself in the event of a serious injury or prolonged illness.

Journey Cover
Journey Insurance provides cover in the event that you are injured on your commute to and from work. This is a typical exclusion to many workers compensation policies, which would leave majority of employees uninsured and left to mange
expenses should they be unable to work for an extended period of time.

Corporate Travel Insurance
Corporate Travel Insurance is an annual policy covering all staff and directors of a company for business travel. Cover will also respond to leisure trips taken by directors and business owners as well as associated leisure travel for
employees of the business.

Cover also extends to any employees spouse and dependent children.

How do I add my business name onto the Policy and what coverage will be provided?

With more than 8 years experience in the industry and inquisitive nature, John is constantly finding ways to improve customer experience and add real value to Associations.

Shamus has more than 20 years of industry experience, having served senior roles at two of the major international brokers in the affinity and healthcare sectors.
