Qualifications are not reviewed against a government regulated qualification scheme framework and do not provide ‘national recognition.’ In Australia, being an IICT Training Provider does not provide the applicant with Registered Training Organisation status (RTO); nor is IICT affiliated with the Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA) or the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF). Once approved, you will not utilise terms such as ‘nationally recognised training’ or ‘nationally accredited training provider’ in conjunction with my IICT Training Provider subscription.

International modality recognition

International modality recognition is subject to: approval by regional insurance partners; regulation of ‘protected titles’; and regional/state training requirements. In certain countries, by law, there are specific titles which are referred to as ‘protected titles.’ This means only those practitioners who are registered, or endorsed, in a particular profession can use the titles associated with that profession. This may require the practitioner to obtain licensing and or registration(s) required by a regulatory authority. You understand that it is your responsibility to be aware of these regulations and notify your students, where necessary. These titles may include, but are not limited to, practices such as: Traditional Chinese Medicine, Acupuncture, Naturopathy, Kinesiology, Homeopathy, Herbal Medicine, Massage, Art Therapy, Psychotherapy, and Counselling. If your course does not meet the minimum requirements stipulated by the relevant regulatory body(s), your students and graduates may not be eligible for insurance in that region.

If you fail to comply with any of the above, IICT is entitled to revoke your Training Provider subscription without providing a reason.
